ENGL 3345 - African-American Literature Credits: 3 In this course, students read, analyze, and discuss literary works and media written by African Americans. This course provides a survey of writings from the Reconstruction period to today. Topics to be discussed include the rise of the “New Negro,” the Harlem Renaissance, black realism, modernism and postmodernism.
