Non-Disclosure of Educational Records

Information protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 may be made available to persons with the written authorization of the student except in the following cases; to officials of other schools in which the student intends to enroll, and other persons and agencies identified by the statute. Under FERPA, employees of the University may be given access to student information based on having legitimate educational need. Other information about the privacy of student records may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar.
