Preparation, characterization and properties of bioinorganic, organometallic and macromolecular inorganic compounds; discussion of special techniques (glove box manipulations and double- manifold Schlenk lines) for handling air-sensitive materials; extensive review of current literature.

Co-requisite: CHEM 3306
Note: Two hours of laboratory work per week.
