ENGL 4305 - History and Development of the English Lang

Credits: 3
Historical and structural study of the English language from the Old English period to modern times. Emphasis on changes in English sounds, forms, inflections, and syntax; introduction to modern grammatical systems; and study of word derivations and meanings.

Prerequisite: ENGL 1302 .
